Real-World Innovation
Solving the worlds 'wicked' problems is in the hands of young people today. Discovering the authentic opportunities that exists for real people using human-centred design is at the heart of real-world problem solving. Based on critical analysis, a single solution is designed and tested out with end users, gathering feedback to iterate the solution. When learners take-action on their designed solution and reflect on the extent to which their solution delivers tangible benefits and outcomes, they understand the full extent to which they can create real-world change.

FUTURE CAPABILITIES FRAMEWORK
The Future Capabilities Framework is the foundation which underpins all the Future Learning Academy courses. The framework provides Learning Design Steps that are a practical resource for educators to create experiences that support learners to develop their character qualities, skills and future capabilities. Crucially, the basis for each future capability is the Victorian & Australian Capabilities Curriculum and is designed to be a holistic approach to learning design. Each Future Capability Course explicitly links to key pedagogical themes identified in the Australian Capabilities Curriculum and has been specifically designed to equip educators with both the mindset and the tools to create a future capabilities focused curriculum.
COURSE CERTIFICATION
ROWENA ULBRICK
Rowena has extensive leadership experience both in Australia and internationally through a broad range of Head of Learning, Professional Learning Consulting and Advanced Skills Teaching roles.
Whilst working in school and university environments for over 15 years, Rowena rarely saw rich learning experiences being created, ones that harnessed the true capability of young people. She knew this was having a detrimental impact on learning experiences and outcomes for the educators, the schools and ultimately the students. It was clear to Rowena that students needed to be empowered to be better.
Rowena's driving force is knowing that young people can be empowered to achieve anything when they are provided with meaningful learning experiences. The Future Learning Academy team firmly believe that every person deserves this opportunity.
